LAKE TSCHIDA RECREATION MANAGER WANTED


The Tri-Cities Joint Job Development Authority is seeking applications for the position of Lake Tschida recreation manager. The manager shall be responsible for the development, management, operation and maintenance of recreation areas and facilities at the Heart Butte Reservoir, located in Grant County, ND, under the management of the Tri-Cities Joint Job Development Authority.

Experience in park or lake management is preferred. Applicant must have the ability to complete annual reports, grant applications, and have a basic understanding of spreadsheets and accounting. The applicant must have the ability to work with employees and the public. Attention to detail is required.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex or national origin. The position is full-time, year-round, with some weekends required. Salary ranges from $35,000 to $60,000 DOE. Health insurance and retirement is provided.

JOB DESCRIPTION


Manager - Heart Butte Reservoir Recreation Areas and Facilities

The manager shall be responsible for the development, management, operation and maintenance of recreation areas and facilities at Heart Butte Reservoir, as outlined in the management agreement between the Bureau of Reclamation and the Tri-Cities Joint Job Development Authority.

The manager shall be responsible for filing all reports, plans and notifications with the Bureau of Reclamation by the stated deadlines, upon approval by the Tri-Cities Joint Job Development Authority board of directors, as outlined in the management agreement.

The manager will oversee and be capable of performing all office duties including managing the reservation system, website and have a basic understanding of spreadsheets and accounting.

The manager will report to the Tri-Cities Joint Job Development Authority, attend the regular monthly meetings and report monthly on activities.

The manager shall be responsible for overseeing camping sites, which will include:

1. Maintenance and upkeep of sites, reservations of camping sites, collecting camping site fees and turning over fees and necessary paperwork to accountant and any other duties related to camping sites.

2. Manager will oversee upkeep of recreational areas, including overseeing contracted and regular employees to assure that all duties are being performed responsibly, including mowing, refuse removal, security, concessions, road maintenance, weed control, and any other duties which are necessary in maintaining recreational areas and facilities. Manager shall also have or be willing to obtain applicable state training or licensing requirements for pesticide application and be able to operate equipment necessary to perform all of these duties.

Manager shall be responsible for site planning and development including:

1. Development of plans for improvement of sites, overseeing construction, filing all proper paperwork with the Bureau of Reclamation and working with the Bureau of Reclamation to assure that all structures meet federal requirements, working with the Bureau of Reclamation in obtaining funding for structural developments, completing any related grant applications and any other duties related to site planning and development.


2. Manager will work with the Heart Butte Association and cabin/trailer owners in meeting all requirements of the Bureau of Reclamation, obtaining necessary permits and collecting yearly fees and act as a liaison between parties and investigate disputes.

3. Manager shall also perform any other duties as assigned by the Tri-Cities Joint Job Development Authority.
